The difficulties of the Aam Aadmi Party in Gujarat do not seem to be diminishing. While on Wednesday, the party’s Visavadar MLA Bhupat Bhayani resigned from the party and is said to be joining the Kesariya party, another Dediapada MLA, Chaitar Vasava, also appeared in Dediapada police station today in the case of threatening and assaulting a forest worker.
Chaitar Vasava has been underground for the last one month. He said that false allegations have been leveled against me. ‘He said that a false case has been filed against me. A conspiracy was hatched against me and I was framed as part of the conspiracy. I and my family will keep fighting.’
It is to be mentioned here that Chaitar Vasava had filed an application in the High Court for anticipatory bail, but this application was rejected. So now he is bound to appear before the police. Chaitar Vasava has been underground for the last one month and nine days. The MLA is accused of calling the forest worker to his house, threatening him, firing in the air and extorting Rs 60,000.
What is the whole matter?
In the matter of cultivation on the forest land of Dediapada, matter had gone awry after a quarrel between Dediapada MLA Chaitar Vasava and forest department employees over the issue of cultivation of forest land. During this time, there was also a quarrel with other people, and a complaint was lodged against Dediapada MLA Chaitar Vasava, his wife and P.A. In this case, so far, Chaitar Vasava’s P.A., his wife and another person have been arrested, while MLA Chaitar Vasava and another person were absconding.

After appearing before the police, Chaitar Vasava said that he is innocent and that a false case has been filed against him. He said that he will fight against this conspiracy till the end. He also appealed to his supporters to remain calm and not to do anything that could create a law and order situation.
