South Indian actor Dhanush and wife Aishwaryaa – filmmaker and daughter of Rajnikant has announced their separation after 18 years of marriage on Monday.
The couple took to their social media and shared notes announcing their separation. Dhanush in a tweet wrote, “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please do Respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this. Sharing a similar note on Instagram, Aishwaryaa captioned the note saying, “No caption needed…only your understanding n your love necessary!”
Dhanush and Aishwaryaa had tied the knot in the year 2004. The couple has two sons together – Yatra and Linga, born in 2006 and 2010 respectively.
Dhanush was recently seen in the Aanand L Rai directed bollywood romantic drama – ‘Atrangi Re’ alongside Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar.
