At just 14, Surat table tennis player Vivan Rashesh Dave is making his mark on the international circuit, winning Silver in Under-15 Boys’ Singles at the World Table Tennis (WTT) Youth Contender Ulaanbaatar 2026 in Mongolia, followed by Bronze in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Financial support from Adani Hazira Port Limited (AHPL), part of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ), has helped him compete at these international events.
Vivan, a Grade IX student, began playing table tennis at the age of six. After progressing through district and state-level competitions, he made his mark nationally at the 2025 Under-15 National Championship in Gandhidham, winning the individual title, along with Gold in the Under-15 Team event and Bronze in Doubles. The results helped him rise to No. 2 in the Indian Under-15 rankings.
Now, Vivan trains in Hyderabad, where he stays in a hostel while continuing his schooling alongside professional table tennis coaching. For young athletes and their families, the cost of overseas travel and tournament participation can be a significant challenge. AHPL’s financial support has enabled Vivan to compete at international WTT events, giving him the opportunity to earn ranking points and gain experience against players from different countries.
His medals in Mongolia and Uzbekistan add to a strong national record as Vivan continues to train and compete in the Under-15 circuit alongside his Grade IX studies.
