As the cases of corona are increasing in Ahmedabad, the health system is adopting the formula of trace, test and treat to defeat it. It has been decided to make RT-PCR testing free of cost by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) in it’s hospitals as well as in private labs at some places.
To defeat corona, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has set up tents for testing in different parts of the city where people who have symptoms of corona can undergo rapid tests. Also, arrangements have been made for the RT PCR test at urban centers in case of more problems. Private laboratories are charging Rs 400 for RT PCR test. At this time, the cases of corona are increasing day by day.
RT PCR testing facility has been made free of cost by the system in collaboration with some private labs. For which some spots have been fixed. People can get free RT PCR tests done at certain fixed locations including at Kalupur Railway Station, near Geeta Mandir Bus Stand, and if needed, this system will be extended further in the coming days. Important thing is that antigen tests do not give accurate results. Sooner the RT PCR test is done, sooner the people will be treated.
