Satellite police have filed a complaint of causing hurt and using abusive words by a resident of Rajeev Nagar, against a woman driving her car.

Identified as Vipul Makwana allegedly dragged a woman motorist out of her car, holding her by her hair and beating her black and blue.

Reema, a 43-year-old resident of Manibhadra Avenue near Shyamal Crossroads said in her complaint to police that the altercation took place when she told him to move away from the path of her car while she was on her way to bring her daughter back from school.

The man came in front of her car causing her to slam on her brakes. In the exchange that followed, the man continued standing in front of her car and started abusing her. He also dragged her on the road which bruised her leg. The man threatened dire consequences when the victim told him that she is going to call the police.

Acting on the complaint, the police could not find Vipul Makwana as he fled before the cops arrived. Sub-inspector M H Limbola of Satellite police said that Makwana was yet to be arrested and he might have committed the offence in an inebriated condition.
