The Ahmedabad Police caught five peddlers of a gang trying to sell MD Drugs at Baap no Bagicho, Shilaj, Ahmedabad. Before this incident, the police seized 18.96 grams of drugs from three other peddlers.

According to the investigation reports, the names of the accused are Shahid, Tousif, Ashfaq Sheikh, and Ahmed Hussain. The cops grabbed a pistol and eight live cartridges from one of the dealers. On April 29, the crime brand captured three dealers late at night, peddling drugs outside Baap No Bagicho near Shilaj.

Baap No Baghicho, along with some other cafes, at Sinhubhavan Road and Sindhu Bhavan Road, come under Ahmedabad District Police limits. The police have caught some other dealers selling MD drugs near Karnavati Club. Their names are Sohail (Hajibawa Rahman Pathan), Rahil (Rahilbab Abdul Samad Qureshi), Shakti Singh, and Shailendra Chauhan. Interrogations with the peddlers revealed that they used to bring large quantities of MD and sold them in retail.

Javed Hussain was fetching a quantity of MD from Jisan Memon, a resident of Shahealam Society, Danilmida. He was carrying the pistol and cartridges when the police caught him. Thus, the crime branch has registered another offense against him under the Arms Act. According to the police, all the accused have criminal histories and are habitual offenders.
