Kuldeep Singh, a police constable working at Vastrapur police station in Ahmedabad, along with his wife and two-year-old daughter, killed themselves by jumping from the Divya Heights tower in Gota at 1.30 am on Tuesday night.
The reasons for taking such an extreme step are not known yet. Sola police are investigating the matter.
Kuldeep Singh, his wife Riddhi and two-year-old daughter Akangshi were living in a high-rise building called Divya Heights in Gota Vishwas City. They died on the spot after jumping from the highrise.
Senior officers of Sola Police Station were immediately dispatched to the spot after the Ahmedabad Police Control Room came to know about the incident. This is the first case of suicide of the entire family of a police employee. Presently, the post-mortem procedure is going on at Sola Civil Hospital.
Kuldeep Singh was a native of Shihor in Bhavnagar and his wife was a resident of Wadiya near Shihor. Locals of Shihor inform that Kuldeep Singh was a very calm and simple person by nature. It is not easy to fathom why he took such a step. Even Kuldeep Singh’s relatives, who work at Sola Police Station, had no idea that Kuldeep Singh and his wife would take such a step.
