Danilimda police earlier today arrested two men for smuggling illegal meat into Ahmedabad city. The police was informed by the District Animal Cruelty Prevention Society District Collection.
He informed the police that he had seen the men carry meat in a private rickshaw. Following this, he along with a few other men chased the vehicle and informed the police.
Upon arrival, the police found out that the accused Sameer Sabbir Syed Dhandho, Mohammad Hussain Qureshi and Jamir Rahimbhai Sheikh were carrying illegal meat worth Rs 45,000 along with other things costing Rs 1,50,000.
The accused have been arrested and the matter is under investigation.
