A 22-year-old Ahmedabad man, Jay Patel, living in Melbourne, Australia, died under mysterious circumstances. The local police are investigating the cause of death and a post-mortem will be conducted on Monday. Jay’s friend raised Rs 30 Lakhs in 45 minutes to bring him home.
Jay, the son of Bharat Patel, a resident of Kubernagar Bhargava Society in Ahmedabad, had flown to Melbourne on a student visa. He was working in an Australian city. After falling asleep on the night of December 10 on returning from work, Patel did not wake up. His room-mates informed the local ambulance service, but Patel was declared dead.
Jay’s father will bring back the body with the help of the Indian embassy in Australia.
