Ahmedabad Witnesses The Hottest April In 12 Years: Red Alert Issued

The Meteorological Center of Ahmedabad has issued a notification for the heatwave alert for the upcoming five days. The Meteo Department updated the city about the weather on Friday, 29th April. The report mentions the minimum and maximum temperature forecasts from 29th April to 4th April. 

The notification also mentions the probability of occurrences, high-temperature warning, and their respective ranges. The Ministry of Earth Sciences, India Meteorological Department, Meteorological Centre, RS/RW Building, Airport, Ahmedabad has issued a red alert warning for 30th April and 1st May. The minimum temperature on these days would be around 27 degrees Celsius, and the maximum temperature would be 45 degrees Celsius.

The probability of occurrences of the heatwave this weekend is most likely (75 to 100%). At the beginning of the coming week, the temperature will waver between 27 degrees Celsius to 44 degrees Celsius. On 2nd May, the minimum temperature could be 26 degrees Celsius and go up to 43 degrees Celsius. 

The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in the city for 1st May and 2nd May. The probability of occurrences is also very likely on these days in the city. However, 3rd May can be a sign of relief for the citizens as the department has only issued a yellow alert. 

On 3rd May, the probability of occurrences is likely (25 to 50%), and the minimum-maximum range of temperature would be from 26 to 42 degrees Celsius. The state has been experiencing a steady temperature rise as the per-day maximum temperature has crossed 44 degrees Celsius in the last two days. People should stay alert and take more water than usual.
