All You Need to Know About Jhunjhunwala’s Family

Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, the king of  Dalal Street passed away today on 14th August. He felt some uneasiness post which he went to the hospital and died there at around 6.30 A.M.. Doctors report that he also had kidney related problems and acute multiple organs failure. 
Aged at merely 62, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was considered the “Indian Warren Buffet” of the country.

Talking about his family, he is a native of Mumbai. Hif family shifted from Telangana to Mumbai when he was 2 years old. He developed his interest in the stock market from his father’s discussions with his friends. He was quite young, when his father and his friends would drink in the evening and talk about the stock market. It was in one of these discussions with his father, that he found his passion for stocks.

It was again his father, Radheshyamji who told him to first become a Chartered Accountant for security and then get into stocks.One can comment that Rakesh’s father was a good guide to him in his major life decisions. Rakesh’s mother Urmila Jhunjhunwala was a homemaker. 

Rakesh has three siblings, 1 brother and 2 sisters. His brother, Rajesh Jhunjhunwala, is also a Chartered Accountant. In fact, Rakesh’s first clients were actually his brother’s customers. Besides an elder brother, he has two sisters, Sudha Gupta and Neena Sanganeria.

He got married to his wife Rekha Jhunjhunwala on 22 February, 1987. The couple had complicated pregnancies, as his wife delivered his daughter Nistha Jhunjhunwala on 30 June after six IVF cycles. 

They further birthed two sons, Aryaveer and Aryaman on 2 March 2009.
