Two years after the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will organise the “Ahmedabad Flower Show” at the Riverfront Flower Park at Sabarmati Riverfront starting from January 1, 2023.
As the show is themed “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,” speculations abound that flowers have been specially ordered from Thailand. The exhibition will also include sculptures of various Olympic sports made from henna plants (mehndi) as well as writings on the “G-20” theme.
Many of the attractions built for the show include a 200-foot-long green wall built for a selfie point, a flower love gate, a flower fall pot, a flowering tree, and sculptures of various flower towers and themes. It will also include sculptures of Charak Rishi, Dhanvantari Bhagwan, and Hanumanji, as well as Sanjeevani Mountain.
The flower show, which runs until January 14, is free for children under the age of 12.
