Amdavad Municipal Corporation will soon come up with 21 “Pink Toilets” exclusively for women. Spread across seven zones in the city, the proposal will entail a total spends of Rs 10.68 crores. On Thursday, the AMC Standing Committee approved the work. The toilets will be built at a cost of Rs 5 crore initially. The operation and maintenance cost of Rs 4.5 crores for five years will be paid to the contractor who is assigned the work.
