With Assembly elections fast approaching, Gujarat has become the key playground for major political parties. in the past months, the state has seen an increasing number of visits for political leaders, including those from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress as well as Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Now, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set for a visit on July 1. He will attend an event at Kalol in Gandhinagar district.
In the past month alone, Shah has visited the state several times. At the end of May, he visited development projects in the Panchmahal district. He was in Bharuch early this month, and later on again was present at the 41st Convocation of Irman at Anand On June 12.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also been to the state several times in the last two months. Only recently, he addressed a massive rally in Vadodara.
AAP president Arvind Kejriwal has visited Gujarat four times in two months. Most recently, he was in Mehsana where he received a warm welcome. During the rally Tiranga Yatra, he addressed the people, saying, “Our party members have visited different constituencies of the state and interacted with thousands of people. Gujarat wants change.”
