Fans of Ranbir Kapoor are eagerly awaiting the sequel of his blockbuster film Animal, titled Animal Park. The film, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is expected to go on floors in 2025, after Ranbir wraps up his work on Nitish Tiwari’s Ramayana

The basic structure of the script for Animal 2 is already in place, and Sandeep will fine-tune it with the writers in the latter half of this year.
According to a reports , Animal Park will delve deeper into the life of Ranvijay (Ranbir Kapoor’s character), who has a lookalike and a troubled marriage with his wife Geetanjali. “Animal Park’s basic structure was ready right when Animal 2023 was written. It was meant to be a multi-film outing. The second part will focus on Ranbir’s character Ranvijay and his lookalike. The domestic feud between the protagonist and his wife Geetanjali will be taken forward, as will his relationship with his son,” a source close to the film revealed. “The idea is that while Sandeep shoots Spirit, he will take monthly updates on the script primarily being written by Pranay Vanga. He will actively work with the writers only in the second half of 2024,” the source added.
Animal, which released on December 1, 2023, was a dark and violent story of a man and his dysfunctional relationship with his father. The film portrayed Vijay (played by Ranbir) as an anti-hero who would do anything to please his father, even killing 200 people with a machine gun. However, he never got the approval he craved from his cold and distant father (played by Anil Kapoor). The film ended with a teaser of Ranbir Kapoor’s character’s lookalike and suggested that the sequel will deal with the conflict between them.
Ranbir Kapoor also opened up about Animal Park in a recent chat with stand-up comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi for Netflix India. He said, “Regarding Animal Park, he (Vanga) has one or two scenes ready, which he narrated to me, and they are very exciting. Now, because of the success of part one, he has the confidence and courage to go even darker, deeper and more complex. He can do anything.”
