In recent months, an increasing number of cases of thefts, robberies, and other petty crimes have been witnessed in Modasa of Aravalli district. At one point cases related to murder and kidnappings were also rampant here, but that does not seem to be the case any longer.
Nevertheless, cases of robberies and loots are increasing. in the latest case, three armed men barged into a shop on Malpur Road in Modasa city and attempted to steal whatever they could. This is a fairly rich area in the town and so robberies like this are not uncommon.
The robbers had planned to rob a store named Krishna Corner. When they barged in carrying knives, they began beating up the owner of the shop. However, the neighbours noticed what was happening and rushed to help. The robbers were overpowered and the theft was stopped.
Nevertheless, the shopkeepers and others failed to capture the thieves, who escaped and fled on a bike. The entire incident has been clearly captured on CCTV cameras. The police were informed of the attempted robbery. When questioned, the locals informed that the robbers seem to be carrying some valuables and money on them.
