The Rajasthan High Court has granted a bail to self-styled godman Asaram Bapu in a case pertaining to forging of documents. However, Asaram Bapu will not be able to be out because he is serving imprisionment in multiple rape cases including that of a minor girl.
The 82-year-old Asaram was Asumal who ran away from his home. He is believed to have indulged in bootlegging and illicit liquor business before becoming a Godman. With Ashrams across India, Asaram was mostly based out of Gujarat. He has been in jail since last 10 years. His son Narayan Sai has been also accused of rape and other serious charges.

Almost all politicians in India have been to Asaram’s Ahmedabad Ashram some time or another because Asaram, even now wields a strong vote bank.
Asaram is believed to practise black magic and help politicians reach the pinnacle of their careers.
