Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India surpassed the British economy and will emerge as the third-largest economy in the world by 2029, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said in poll-bound Gujarat on Friday. Sarma is scheduled to address rallies in Anjar, Adipur, and Kamrej.
“Britain used to rule India, but today PM Modi has crossed the British economy,” Saram said. “By 2022, India will have the third-largest economy in the world, if progress in our nation continues at the current rate. After 2016, new railway lines, highways, and airports have been developed by PM Modi, and there are other ongoing projects. In our North-East of India, where there used to be no train or airport,” he said.
