The biopic on former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, “Main Atal Hoon,” was announced by actor Pankaj Tripathi on Instagram. The former Mr Vajpayee is shown in the images and films as a Prime Minister, poet, statesman, and gentleman. The actor is wearing a jacket and dhoti-kurta, while prosthetics are being used for makeup.
“Na main kahin dagmagaya, na main kahin sar jhukaya, main atal hoon,” was the caption he used for the post. Pandit Dhirendra Tripathi is credited with writing the lyrics.
“I am aware that in order to bring “Atal” ji’s personality to life on screen, I must exercise restraint in how I present myself. With excitement and morale, I have strong hope that I will be able to do justice to my new responsibility,” he wrote in another post.
Tripathi shared a passionate Hindi letter on the subject yesterday. “I am committed to portraying the part of Atal in “I am Atal” with a mixture of enthusiasm, dread, and sincere feelings in my heart. Playing his part is no less than showing up for a test. However, I have his blessing and utmost faith. #MainAtalHoon,” he noted.
The actor’s admirers and supporters were pleasantly delighted to see him in this avatar. The post received numerous “wow” comments and red heart emojis. Others praised the actor’s makeup-aided transition into the character.
The movie, written by Utkarsh Naithani and directed by three-time National Award winner Ravi Jadhav, will be shown on December 25, 2023. The music for the movie will be composed by the musical duet Salim-Sulaiman. Sonu Nigam, a singer, provided the vocals for the announcement video.
