A resident of Sahajanand Palace in Thaltej, Satyam stands charged with ramming into a couple walking on the Sola-Ahmedabad railway overbridge on the night of March 1. He was finally traced to a dhaba in Dungarpur, Rajasthan, late Saturday night. Barely 24 hours into custody, and his bail was being processed.

On a regular basis, the accused is made to sit on the floor or allowed to stand while in police custody. But Satyam was seen resting on the sofa, his face showing no signs of remorse or guilt.

He was also seen moving up and down the staircase of the police station as if he was not an accused but some privileged person.
