As a counter to the fake news being widely circulated on social media, the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) on Monday, issued a notice stating that results of class 12 and class 10 will not be declared May 17.
“The board has not declared the dates for Class 10 and Class 12 general stream results for the March 2022 exams. The press release going viral on social media on the results dates is a scam. As a result, parents, students, and school administrators are reminded that the board will not publish results for Class 10 and Class 12 general stream on May 17,” the statement notified.
The board has also filed a police report in response to the “fake” news release. According to the “false GSHSEB” release, the Class 10 and Class 12 general stream results would be released at 8 a.m. on May 17. The board also announced that a cyber-crime complaint had been lodged against “unknown individuals” for spreading the “phony press release” on social media and misled students, parents, and school principals.
On May 12, the GSHSEB issued the Class 12 Science stream results.
