Booster Doses To Be Given To People Above 60 Years Of Age: ACS Manoj Agarwal

Vaccination of children against Covid-19 will start from January 3 – said ACS Manoj Agarwal of the health department in a press conference held today.

Children have also been included now in the Har Ghar Dastak campaign, especially as school children are becoming more and more infected with the virus. The registration process for vaccinating children will start from January 1 and vaccination will be carried out in schools with the cooperation of schools.

All citizens above 60 years of age in the state will be given comorbid dose, preparations of which are already underway. Booster dose will be given only after 9 weeks of 39 weeks after taking the second dose wherein the citizens will be given free booster dose by the government as per the guidelines of the central government.

This booster dose will be given to frontline workers, healthcare workers who tally to up to 30 million, and people with serious illnesses and above 60 years of age in the country. The process will be carried out in the same manner as the previous two doses.
