A father, Mawajibhai, from the Aakaru village of Gujarat, lost his two young sons to spurious liquor within twelve hours in the Latthakand of Botad. As several families of Gujarat mourn the death of their loved ones, there is a father who lost his actual wealth, his sons.
Bhaveshbhai, the 25-year-old son of Mawjibhai, was resting after consuming alcohol. However, suddenly, he started feeling sick and weak. As the family saw the deteriorating health of the young lad, they witnessed a white foam coming out of his mouth. Alarmed by the situation, the family called the 108 ambulances that took him to the hospital. But, to the family’s shock, Bhaveshbhai, who was fit as a fiddle in the morning, died in the hospital. Later, the family performed his last rites.
When the family returned home after completing the final rituals, they saw that the second son, Kishan started feeling unwell. His health depleted, and he started vomiting. Scared of losing another child, the family members called the 108 ambulances and rushed him to the hospital for treatment. However, Kishan Bhavesh’s brother also died after drinking the desi liquor.
Unfortunately, the story is not isolated. Many families have lost their fathers and sons in the Lattha incident in Botad of dry Gujarat. Many women have also questioned the government for not taking suitable actions. The incident has created a stir in the entire village.
Due to the death of his only two sons, a mountain of problems has crashed over the elderly father. Currently, he is not in the condition to talk or say anything. Meanwhile, the family feels lost because the two deceased men were the only bread earners of the family.
