BTS Scripts History at Billboard Music Awards 2022

Global sensation BTS has broken another record!! Three awards picked up at Billboard Music Awards 2022. The band got the highest number of nominations that a group has received in any year. And with this the boys broke their own record.

The band broke another record after winning three awards at the ceremony. BTS is now the only band to win a total of 12 awards. Earlier, Destiny’s Child record with 11 wins, had created history 17 years ago.

For the unversed, The Billboard Music Awards 2022 were held in Las Vegas on May 15. Several stars like Doja Cat, Travis Scott, Machine Gun Kelly, Megan Fox, Kylie Jenner and Megan The Stallion marked their presence at the glamorous awards night.

BTS took trophies in Top Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist and in Top Selling Song (for “Butter”) categories. The group, however, was not present at the event, staged at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The MC was 19-year-old pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo, who took home an impressive seven trophies. Rodrigo had also earlier garnered two Grammys earlier this year. Ye (Kanye West) was the runner-up with seven awards while The Kid LAROI and his buddy Justin Bieber picked up five trophies for their chartbuster “Stay.”

ARMY has been showering its love and praises on the boy band comprising Jin, Suga, RM, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook.
