A lawsuit against comedian and actor Kapil Sharma for breaching the contract for his North America tour in 2015 was filed by a company named Sai Inc. According to Amit Jaitly, a renowned promoter of shows in North America, Kapil signed and paid for the shows but had failed to perform at one of the six cities’ shows.
The comedian also failed to compensate for the loss or perform at one show he had promised to, alleged Jaitly. “He did not perform and has not responded, although we tried several times to get in touch with him before the court.”
The company, Sai Inc., is set to take legal action against him. Right now, the case is pending with the New York court.
Kapil is in Canada with his ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ (TKSS) team. That includes Krushna Abhishek, Rajiv Thakur, Chandan Prabhakar, Kiku Sharda and Sumona Chakravarti. The team is in Toronto for another live show. They shared videos and photos on social media, which their fans loved.
He will perform in New York in the second week of July.
Recently, the actor paid tribute to Sidhu Moose Wala and KK during his live show in Vancouver. The video of Kapil singing Moosewala’s famous song ‘295’ went viral on the internet. The video showcases ‘Tribute to Legends’ in the background, with photos of Sidhu Moosewala, Deep Sandhu, KK and Sandeep Singh.
The upcoming season of TKSS is set for announced after the team returns from their tour of North America. The last episode of the show aired on June 5.
