CBI’s Joint Director Shri Manoj Sashidhar is a Gujarat cadre officer who was awarded President’s Police Medal for distinguished services.
He has served as Commissioner Surat, Head of Ahmedabad Crime Branch Service, Head of Gujarat Anti Terrorist Squad, IG Rajkot, etc. As JD, CBI he is in charge of Anti Corruption Headquarters-II, SIT, and System Division. He is supervising some of the cases like the Vijay Malaya case, Augusta Westland case, Anil Deshmukh Case, and his Division has unearthed some of the big-ticket corruption cases like one Crore Trap case of a Railway Engineer posted in Guwahati(one of the biggest traps in CBI’s history), the trap of another Railway Engineer(retired) in which besides trap money, crores of cash/bank deposits, and gold bars of more than 25 KG were recovered.
