“Good Governance Week” was set afoot Monday by the central government. The nationwide campaign has been planned for grievance redressal and to take good administration to the villages. To be observed from Dec 20 to Dec 25, the five-day programme is part of the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. A film, on the theme Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur, will also be screened.
The drive has been planned by Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions in collaboration with other departments and ministries.
The crux move, Prashashan Gaon Ki Aur, aims at improving service delivery besides redressal of public grievances. “Our government is committed to strengthening good governance and is guided by the citizen-first-approach,” read an official press release from the Prime Minister to mark the event.
Several programmes will take centre-stage during the planned affair. Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh is also scheduled to launch the “Good Governance Week Portal.”
