Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has addressed the growing concern among farmers regarding the delayed monsoon this year. Addressing the issue, Baghel assured farmers that the state government is fully committed to their welfare and will take necessary steps to protect their interests.

During a fund transfer program held at his residence office, the Chief Minister released a sum of Rs 12.72 crore to the beneficiaries’ accounts under the Godhan Nyay Yojana, as per an official communication. Baghel empathized with farmers regarding the delay in rainfall but remained optimistic about the prospects of good rainfall in the coming days. He assured farmers that the government has already instructed officials to make all necessary preparations to tackle any situation and ensure that farmers do not face any difficulties in their agricultural activities.

The Chief Minister highlighted the increasing involvement of self-supporting Gauthans in the purchase of cow dung, with their contribution ranging from 60 to 70 percent. He also mentioned the positive trend of farmers transitioning towards organic farming, with 16.56 lakh quintals out of 35.6 lakh quintals of vermicompost produced being utilized by farmers.

Baghel urged the people of Chhattisgarh to take precautions and avoid the heat, as the state is currently experiencing heatwaves. He stressed the importance of protecting oneself from heatstroke and emphasized the need to prioritize the health and well-being of families.

Amid concerns about the delayed monsoon, the Chief Minister’s reassurances and ongoing initiatives aim to alleviate the worries of farmers and provide them with the necessary support during this crucial agricultural season.
