The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) during its general board meeting on Saturday resolved that marksheets of Class 10 and 12 students will be uploaded to the DigiLocker application, so they can be verified at any time.
Meanwhile, the governing body rejected a proposal to introduce a dress code for schoolteachers and administrative staff. The board also rejected the proposal for approving new schools without playgrounds if there is a school within 1km that has a playground.
Further, the board rejected the proposal to allow schools operating from rented buildings to submit notarized rent agreements instead of registration at the sub-registrar’s office.
The board decided to upload marksheets on Digilocker as most central boards such as Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) have already adopted this practice.
