The state has been experiencing severe cold for two days now. With the drop in temperature, the people of Gujarat have started taking precautionary measures against the cold. 12 cities, including Ahmedabad, recorded a temperature below 10 degrees Celsius.
As per the Meteorological Department, the cold wave conditions are expected to worsen in Banaskantha, Gandhinagar, Anand, Vadodara, Bhavnagar, Junagadh, Amreli and Kutch. As of January 10, Naliya of Kutch was found to be the coldest in the state. Junagadh experienced 7 degrees while Girnar hit as low as 2 degrees celsius.
In the coming two days, the state will be experiencing a more severe cold, as per the Department.
