Congress MLA Punjabbhai Vansh has written a letter to CM Vijaybhai Rupani regarding the current education policy of the state.  It has been introduced in a letter to the School of Excellence to stop privatization in the name of PPP model.

Presently more than 40 non-academic tasks have been assigned to the primary school teachers of the state government.  So that the teachers do not give enough time to the students and it affects the studies of the students.  The state has not even recruited teachers from  a long time.  School of Excellence has announced to recruit contractual teachers from class 6 to 8.  Also, information has been sought from institutions for admission of one lakh students on PPP basis in private schools.  Government school children in the school of excellence will be placed in residential schools.  In which the management of residential schools will be entrusted to private individuals, NGOs or organizations for 30 years.  This will lead to the closure of government schools in the near future.

The letter said that at present there are 14,562 schools in the state. There is a shortage of 19,000 rooms in schools, with classrooms in many schools are in dilapidated conditions.

He said in the letter that the education system of the state should be reformed instead of making any private institution or individuals a means of earning from the taxes paid by the people.
