With Assembly elections in Gujarat fast approaching, all parties are stumbling over their own two feet to impress the the general public of the state and gather as much support as they can. While Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is in the midst of full-blown preparations, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is also making the a serious effort to remain in the public eye. Some might say that Congress is having a rather slow start, but the party is making a headway in the direction that party requires.

Congress party has always taken a secular stand and spoken of how all religions are the same. However, according to experts, in its attempt to create this secular image, the party has gone a little on the extreme end and has managed to create a reputation of being rather anti-Hindu.

It seems the party is on its path to correct this error and is adopting a strategy of soft Hindutva.

As such, the party is holding religious functions in major cities already and plans to have many more. Rahul Gandhi was seen campaigning in the temple, organizing Maha-Aarati in temples and will also interact with saints and swamis.

Mahila Congress is expected to hold a Satyanarayan Puja, which will be in-line with the party’s overall strategy. The party is also likely to organize Sunderkand as well as public bhajansandhya.

The Congress is brainstorming to become stronger in the cities and major preparations have been started for it.  Rahul Gandhi will address a rally in Saurashtra and North Gujarat. In an attempt to gather support, earlier, he had addressed a gathering of tribal people in Dahod. He also unveiled the Satyagraha app at a rally in Dahod.
