During the current wave of Covid-19, the state has seen a high positivity rate of covid amongst the political leaders too. Congress MLA from Bhiloda in Aravalli district, Dr Anil Joshiara had tested positive for Covid-19 and is currently under the treatment in a private hospital in Ahmedabad.
According to the sources, Joshiyara and his wife had tested positive for Covid-19 and were in home isolation for the treatment. However, three days earlier, Joshiyara was rushed to CIMS hospital in Ahmedabad after his health deteriorated. He is now kept on a ventilator and doctors have advised to keep him under medical observation for at least a week, the sources further stated.
Gujarat is witnessing a decline in daily positive cases of Covid-19 for the last two days. The state on Monday reported a total of 13,805 fresh positive cases, 13,469 recoveries and 25 deaths. Ahmedabad reported a highest of 4,361 positive cases in the state. The state on Sunday had lodged 16,167 positive cases of Covid-19
