Of the total Covid cases recorded in the last 24 hours, Ahmedabad logged the highest number with 1,451 patients and seven deaths. Besides Ahmedabad city, Vadodara (781), Gandhinagar (242), Surat Corporation (174), Surat rural (165), and Mehsana (147)  recorded maximum cases.

On the fatalities front, Ahmedabad had seven deaths, Bhavnagar had five, Vadodara had four, Gandhinagar had one, Surat had four, and Rajkot had three. Banaskantha, Valsad, Porbandar, Mehasana and Morji had one death each. Bharuch had two deaths while Jamnagar Corporation recorded three fatalities.

Meanwhile, given the decline in active cases, the state has decided to reopen offline classes for Standard 1 to 9 from Monday.
