21 Deaths And 2275 Cases Of Covid In Gujarat In The Past 24 Hours

A day after the State reported a decrease in daily covid cases, Thursday saw almost the same daily cases as a daily tally stood at 2275. For the past few days, covid numbers in the State have decreased.

New covid cases have marginally decreased to 2275 from 2560 reported on Wednesday, a marginal decrease of 285 cases within a day.

Wednesday saw the daily covid deaths at 24 in the State, whereas it has decreased to 21 on Thursday. These deaths were reported from Ahmedabad 4, Vadodara 4, Surat 2, Mehsana 1, and Rajkot 2.

The number of active cases in the State is 21,437. A total of 143 people in the State are on a ventilator.

While Ahmedabad city remained the most significant contributor with 700 cases, other major contributors include Vadodara with 292 cases, Vadodara rural with 99 cases, Mehsana with 96 cases, and Banaskantha with 90 and Gandhinagar with 91 cases. These six regions accounted for 70% of the Covid cases recorded today.

Scenario Across India:

According to Central Government data, Active Cases in India as of 10th February are 7,90,789. Whereas daily new cases in the last 24 hours, India stood at 67,084, and the daily positivity rate of India stood at 4.44 per cent. Over 74.61 crore COVID Tests have been conducted so far in India.
