Devvratsinh Mori youngest member in the Gujarat State Board for Wildlife

The Gujarat State Board for Wildlife (SBWL) in Gujarat was formed after 15 months and now consists of 27 eminent members headed by Gujarat’s honorable CM.

Several positive changes have taken place across industries around the world, which have garnered massive public attention and have made more headlines. It is thus imperative to learn more about these positive developments that have, in many ways, been done with the pure intention to shape societies, communities, environments and the like, eventually to improve the lives and well-being of people.

State Board for Wildlife (SBWL) 2023:

In the same light, a few significant steps were taken in order to conserve our wildlife and do much more to create a healthy and happy habitat. After almost a year, the Gujarat government has now constituted the State Board for Wildlife (SBWL), consisting of 27 eminent members related to the world of wildlife. It is headed by the honorable Gujarat CM, Bhupendrabhai Patel. However, one name that has garnered more attention in the list is Ornithologist Devvratsinh Mori from Wadhwan, Surendranagar.

Devvratsinh Mori has made it to the list of the State Board for Wildlife, radiating yet again his sheer brilliance in the world of wildlife, his expertise and his skills as an advocate for birds and wildlife.

The board, which was recently constituted, will have two former forest officials, CN Pandey, PCCF and HoFF (Retd.) and RD Kamboj, APCCF (Retd.). It will have three representatives from NGOs, including the director of GEER Foundation, Gandhinagar; member secretary, Gujarat, Ecology Commission (GEC) and representative of Nature Club, Surat.

The board will have eight ecologists, conservationists and environmentalists, among which one is Devvratsinh Mori. Other names include Dhanraj Nathwani, Group Senior Vice President of Reliance Industries; Suresh Bhatt, trustee at Lakhota Nature Club, Jamnagar; Sanjay Kelaiya, Natural Heritage Conservation Society in Junagadh, Chandravijaysinh Rana, former wildlife warden, Jamnagar, and Rohit Shashikant Vyas, former member of SBWL, Vadodara.

Devvratsinh Mori, from Wadhwan over the years, has made quite a name for himself in wildlife nationally and internationally, thriving on his ace photography skills and proving his mettle as a raptor expert, wildlife researcher and conservationist and Avian Biologist.
