Dr. Pankaj R. Patel, Chairman of Zydus Lifesciences, has been appointed as a part-time non-official director on the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBl) Central Board, the firm reported in an index filing on June 14. The Cabinet Appointments Committee (ACC) has approved the appointment request for a four-year term.
“The Cabinet Appointments Committee (ACC) accepted Mr. Patel’s appointment under section 8 (1)(c) of the RBI Act, 1934 for a period of four years from the date of notice of his appointment, or until further instructions, whichever is earlier,” according to the statement.
