Pramita Tiwari who is being treated for Leukemia scored 97.75% in her 12th board exams. Even cancer could not come in her way of scoring brilliant marks in the CISCE exams.
Pramita says she could not set up a consistent studying schedule because of her hospital visits, but whatever she read, she read with full concentration. She is an aspiring doctor.
Pramita was diagnosed with Acute Minor Leukemia, a cancer of the blood and bone marrow, in August last year.
She had to move out from Lucknow to Gurugram for chemotherapy. She also went through a bone marrow transplant in January. Tiwari had continued studying from the hospital, where her teachers held online classes for her. With assistance from her school principal, who changed her allotted exam center from Lucknow to Delhi, she could also take her term exams from the hospital itself.
Pramita said she had her textbooks with her and whenever she felt motivated and fit enough to study, she sat down to excel. She says she never forced herself to study, but when she did study, her concentration was intact.
Besides her parents, school friends helped her with the study material and the hospital staff were also always of assistance.
