Faulty Trucks Tied To Camels: Story Of A Unique Protest

| Updated: April 27, 2023 16:46

Truck owners in Jamnagar staged a protest against Tata Motors after their new trucks broke down just months after purchase. Ranjit Roadlines, a company that purchased 19 cargo trucks from Tata Motors, found that the trucks had malfunctioning silencers that caused them to suddenly stop or break down in the middle of the road.

After drawing the attention of Tata Motors and receiving no satisfactory response, the company took a novel approach to protest. They tied the damaged trucks to the Tata Motors showroom in Hapa and arranged for them to be transported on camelbacks while beating drums to draw attention to the issue.

Finally, the company decided to hand over the damaged trucks to Tata Motors in hopes that the company would take action to address the issue. The unique protest drew the attention of locals and put pressure on Tata Motors to take responsibility for its faulty products.
