UP Female Cops Likely To Face Probe For Clicking Selfies With Priyanka Gandhi Vadra

| Updated: October 21, 2021 11:25

The female cops, who were clicking selfies with Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on their duty in Lucknow, are now prone to face action for the same.

The incident took place on Wednesday when Priyanka Gandhi was on her way to meet the family of Arun Valmiki, who died in police custody on Tuesday. She was held by police on the Lucknow-Agra expressway by the police and was later detained.

According to senior police officers, the cops will be identified and served a notice for clicking photos while on duty and that too in uniform, which is categorised as “indiscipline”.

Reacting to this, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took Twitter and said that if clicking selfies with her is a crime, then she should be the one to be punished and not the cops. “The news is coming that Yogi ji got so upset with this picture that he wants to take action against these women cops. If it is a crime to take pictures with me, then I should also be punished for it, it does not suit the government to spoil the career of these hardworking and loyal cops,” she tweeted.
