Flowery Start To New Year With Ahmedabad Annual Flower Show

The annual flower show organised by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is going to be held in the first week of January 2024.

In addition to a wide variety of exotic and indigenous flowers, the flower show will feature exhibits of different farms and nurseries, horticultural plants, gardening, and kitchen garden flowers and plants.

The corporation announced that the exhibition will be hosted at the event centre ground adjacent to the Flower Park at Sabarmati Riverfront. According to a statement from the civic body, the entry fee will be Rs 50 for visitors aged 12 and above and free for others. However, on Saturdays and Sundays, the entry fee will be Rs 75 per person.

This will be the 11th edition of the show and will last two weeks from morning 10 to 9 at night.

In another decision, the AMC’s standing committee has also approved the installation of 2,500 new streetlights in areas with frequent streetlight complaints. Additionally, the committee has decided to clean all 86 statues installed across the city, with the mayor, deputy mayor, standing committee chairman, and councillors participating in the statue cleaning drive.
