Several private call centres are mushrooming at various places in the city. For a long time, a call center was running in the Ramol area of the city, cheating citizens in the name of granting American visas. Ramol police raided him and nabbed five suspects. These gangs used to cheat the common people by posing as officers of the US Embassy by asking them to get visas. Ramol police have registered a case of cheating of Rs 14.97 lakh.
A cheating center was running in the Ramol area for some time in the name of the grant of visas. The information was received by the police. Five suspects were arrested during the raid by the police.
Ravindra Kumar Patel lodged a complaint at the police station alleging that he was duped by the gang during the period from October 2020 to 2022. In which Sunil Macwan, Viral Natvar Dalwadi, Ashish Kishore Panchal, Bhavish Shah, Suresh Gadani got together and cheated through social media, WhatsApp. Ramol police said that the modus operandi of the accused was such that they were officials of the USA Embassy in Mumbai and were duping people who were interested in giving false identities and getting visas to those who were interested in going to the USA. The accused got 14.97 lakh angadias from Ravindra through an angadia firm and did not grant visas. Ramol police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
