Another disgusting incident of gangrape of a minor have surfaced in Gujarat. A 14-year-old girl from a village in Ahwa taluka of Dang district was allegedly molested by two teenagers and an adult while video of the incident was recorded by the others.
Three months ago, a young woman from a village in Ahwa taluka of Dang district rode a bike with her female friend and two male friends to a nearby village for a wedding. After the wedding, her female friend and her male friend left on the bike and the 14-year-old girl and her male friend started to return home.
The minor girl’s friend told her that she would have to have sex with him if he wants him to accompany her to home. Later, the young man and minor set out on foot to reach the village. They indulged into sexual relationship in a forest area. Later, they met eight friends of the young man on the way. Eight friends also wanted to have physical relation with the girl.
When the girl refused, the eight youths forcibly dragged her in the forest, grabbing her by the arms and legs. Two boys raped her and while the third one was having sexual intercourse the friends present started to record video.
Locals rushed to the spot after seeing the lights and movement in the forest area which made all 9 persons to flee from the scene threatening to kill Sagira if she reported the incident to anyone. A week later, a video of the men having sex in their WhatsApp group was leaked. When the girl came to know about this, she confessed her ordeal to her mother who lodged a complaint against all the accused at the police station. Police has taken the accused into custody and started an investigation under the POCSO Act.
