Group Captain Varun Singh who died of injuries suffered in the chopper crash was given a moving send-off in his hometown on December 17.
Captain Singh was the only one who could be rescued among 13 others who died which included CDS General Bipin Rawat.
The officer was undergoing treatment at the Command Hospital in Bangaluru after he was shifted from Wellington in Tamil Nadu’s Coonoor, where he died after battling with injuries. As per the officials, he had been on life support and hi sbody was brough to Bhopal in a special airplane on Thursday afternoon.
