In Ahmedabad, Khushboo Saroj, a 16-year-old football player, has received a cash reward of Rs 25,000 for her remarkable achievement. She represented Gujarat at the national level and secured a coveted spot in the Indian Women’s Team for the AFC Under-17 Women Championship Qualifier Round-II. The prestigious award was presented to her by Shri Parimal Nathwani, the President of the Gujarat State Football Association (GSFA).
During the felicitation ceremony, GSFA President Parimal Nathwani also took the opportunity to extend his congratulations to the Junagadh and Ahmedabad district football teams for their participation in the Reliance Cup 41st Senior Men’s Inter District Football Tournament. He distributed trophies, medals, and tokens of appreciation to acknowledge their outstanding performance in the tournament.
In a significant gesture, President Nathwani handed over a Rs 25,000/- cheque as a token of recognition to Khushboo Saroj, praising her for bringing honor not only to herself but also to the Gujarat State Football Association and the entire state. Her selection in the Indian Women’s Team for the AFC U17 Women Championship Qualifier was a moment of pride for Gujarat’s football community.
Furthermore, GSFA President Parimal Nathwani awarded the Winners’ trophy to the Junagadh District Football team and the Runners-up trophy to the Ahmedabad District Football team in recognition of their achievements in the Reliance Cup 41st Senior Men’s Inter District Football Tournament. He commended all the players for their exceptional display of skills and sportsmanship and extended his best wishes to them.
