Guj CMO launches WhatsApp Number For Citizens To Connect

| Updated: January 10, 2023 16:44

In Gujarat, From now on, complaints can be made directly to the Chief Minister Office(CMO). Now common citizens can connect to the office of the Chief Minister of Gujarat directly through a Whatsapp number.

The CMO has started a Whatsapp number 7030930344 for the citizens to connect to the Chief Minister’s office.

It is not clear whether citizens can send their applications, complaints, etc to this number.

As soon as the message is sent to this number by any citizen, an auto-generated message pops up in reply: ‘Thank you for registering with CMO Gujarat and providing consent to receive notifications using WhatsApp. We request you kindly save this number. You can reply with “STOP” anytime if you wish to stop communication through this channel.’

Going through this reply message on the Business account of the Chief Minister’s Office’s Whatsapp, it appears that one who sends a message would get communications from the Chief Minister’s Office.

However, earlier, CM Bhupendra Patel has given clear directions to the district collectors and administration officials of the state that they should develop effective procedures at the district level so that even the common man does not have to come to the state level to solve his problem or grievances. He gave this direction in reference to the presentations of the applicants in the first state level ‘SWAGAT’ program of the new government after taking the charge of state government for the second time in a row as Chief Minister.
