A new campaign has been launched by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) School Board from today that will take your hair for a toss. The students will be provided with free haircutting sessions under the theme of hygiene. 122 students were given free haircuts today which was also the first day of the campaign.
The campaign has been launched in association with an organization called Up to Date Haircut. It is part of the Amrut Mahotsav celebration of Independence in Saraspur Municipal Gujarati School No. 7, Ahmedabad. The campaign was attended by Mayor Kirit Parmar, School Board Officials, Local Corporators and School Board Members.
“We were approached by an organization called Up to Date Haircut and discussed this,” said Sujay Mehta, chairman of the AMC School Board. So, when we informed the schools about hair cutting by circular, we were approached by the school in Saraspur. The haircut of 122 students today happened in compliance with Covid-19’s guidelines. The haircut was given to students after the consent of the students and their parents. Haircuts will be done keeping in view the pandemic.
