Gujarat: “Big Day For India Of 21st Century”Says Prime Minister

On the evening of the second day of his visit to his native state Gujarat, prime minister Narendra Modi is holding a roadshow in Banaskantha. Hee will address a public gathering and lay the foundation stone of various projects worth over Rs 7,200 crore in the holy place Ambaji. Earlier in the day, he had sought blessings of Maa Skandmata on the fifth day of Navratri for the devotees and shared recital of prayers (stuti) of the Goddess.

It was an eventful day for Gujarat today as, the Prime Minister, flagged off Gandhinagar- Mumbai Vande Bharat Express at Gandhinagar station. He then travelled on the train upto Kalupur Railway Station.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, Governor of Gujarat, Acharya Devvrat, Union Minister of Railways, Ashvini Vaishnav, and Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, Hardeep Singh Puri.

The Prime Minister flagged off the new & upgraded version of Vande Bharat Express between Gandhinagar and Mumbai. Equipped with advanced state-of-the-art safety features including an indigenously developed Train Collision Avoidance System – KAVACH, the Vande Bharat Express 2.0 offers superior travelling experiences.

Prime Minister later inaugurated phase 1 of the Ahmedabad Metro rail project between Thaltej and Vastral on metro rail stretch on the city’s East-West corridor at the Ahmedabad Education Society in Ahmedabad. “Today is a big day for India of 21st century, urban connectivity and Aatmanirbhar Bharat” he said. He took a metro ride from Kalupur station to Doordarshan Kendra metro station.

Talking about more than two dozen cities either Metro has started or work is in an advanced stage in last 8 years, the prime minister invoked UDAN also, before mentioning the government’s decision to modernize Ahmedabad Railway Station.

During the day the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has shared an interesting short video by BJP Gujarat that features Metro and Navratri and highlights the Gujarat Model.

He also shared a tweet by an IAS officer M Nagarajan featuring glimpses of the Sabarmati river from the newly flagged off Ahmedabad Metro.
