Gujarat Congress leader Arjun Modhwadia on Tuesday leveled serious charges against Gujarat Government. He alleged the government of giving 24.77 lakh square meter of land in Hazeera to Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel Company at a throw away price of Rs 1,000 per square meter against the market price of Rs 16,520 per square meter. The said deal has benefited the company to the tune of Rs 9871.74 crore, he added.
According to him, in cases where the common man faces stringent laws of land grabbing, corporate friends of the BJP Government are given red carpet treatment. “This deal of AMNS with the Government should be probed by the retired Judge of the High Court.” Modhvadia said in a press conference at Congress Bhavan in Ahmedabad.
