Gujarat: Children Not Attending School To Be Vaccinated Using Child Tracking System

| Updated: January 3, 2022 18:49

Gujarat has begun vaccinating 15–18-year-olds studying in schools against the Covid-19 virus from Monday. However, until now clarity was not given for the adolescents falling under the age group 15-18 but not attending any schools.

The Gujarat government announced on Monday that the children not studying in schools will also be vaccinated against the novel coronavirus through a child tracking system.

Following the announcement of the Prime Minister of the country, the work of vaccinating schoolchildren against Covid-19 has been started in Gujarat from today. However, in order to ensure that children are not left unvaccinated except for school going children in the state, the child tracking system will be traced by the government and then those people will also be vaccinated.

Ahmedabad DEO Hitendrasinh Padheria said that the vaccine will be easily available to school children between the ages of 15 and 18 but the government will use a child tracking system to track children who are not currently enrolled in any school.
